Center in Sioux City, Iowa where history is all
about seeing, hearing, touching and feeling. The center
focuses on Lewis and Clark's experience in present day Sioux
City, Iowa and includes the "Garden of Discovery".
The
"Garden of Discovery" includes species encountered by, and in
some cases collected by, the Lewis & Clark Expedition. The
formal gardens, including the Jeffersonian Garden and Indian
Garden, occupy areas on the northwest grounds. The Indian Garden
features cultivated species, including Native food sources such
as squash, corn and beans.
