WELCOME TO THE WORLD FORESTRY CENTER MUSEUM LOCATED IN PORTLAND'S WASHINGTON PARK

 

Artfully crafted of native woods, the museum was opened in 1971 by famed Oregon governor Tom McCall.  The museum now features, world-class permanent exhibits, traveling exhibits, gallery shows, and special community events.

 

 

At 70 feet tall, this replica Douglas fir is the center piece of the museum. 
 Learn about how trees grow as this giant "talking tree" describes the wonders of nature in several  languages.
